Full-service partner for packaging needs
Vilomix has already been putting its trust in the expertise and packaging machines from Arodo for its factories inside and outside Denmark for many years. Working together in confidence is a key aspect here. “Vilomix was in search of a full-service partner for all its packaging needs”, explains Ulrich Kjeldgaard-Knudsen, Sales & Project manager at Arodo Scandinavia. “At Arodo we endeavour to provide specific advice, while joining with the customer in seeking solutions down to the finest detail. The most recent task we were given: an extra filling line for bags, a palletiser and a stretch hooder. The ultimate challenge was the very short delivery period, but we rose to the challenge.
Project Management quality monitoring
The personal approach and quality monitoring of the Arodo Project Management team are certainly also of importance in bringing a project such as the one at Vilomix to a successful conclusion. The Project Manager always focuses on the scope, planning and the budget. He attends the transfer of the sale, and scrutinises the entire course of the project including construction at Arodo up to installation and start-up of the machine at the customer.
“The first capacity test (Factory Acceptance Test) for Vilomix took place at our test location in Arendonk”, says Project Manager Kristof Van Gorp. “Then followed configuration on the site. It was then time for our service technicians to come into action. They set the machines for the specific bags, product, speed and situation. Besides setting a wide array of parameters, great attention was also devoted to connections with other systems: communication with other machines, product supply, data systems, etc. After bringing the machines into use, our all-round service technicians explained to the operators how to get down to work with the packaging line on-site. Then came the ultimate test in the form of the capacity test, the Site Acceptance Test.”
A production capacity boost
Increasing the production capacity at Vilomix was our aim. “And that’s what you’ve done”, concludes Frank Chrestensen, Technical Manager at Vilomix. “The new packaging line was built and installed within the required timeline. The extra installation has considerably accelerated our production and is a real boost. Arodo has always spoken our language over the years, now for around a decade.
